Standoff ends with arrest

Colorado Springs police arrest a man after a late night standoff.

Police say they were called to the 600 block of Cima Vista Point around 10:30 Friday night.

When they got there, police say a woman told them her boyfriend, Brian Lynch, assaulted her.

The woman also told police she left a firearm inside the house.

Police set up containment around the house and tried to negotiate with Lynch. Around midnight, police say, Lynch was arrested.

Police say Lynch, 27, is now facing charges of second degree assault, menacing and harassment.
