Man accused of hurting wife with knife

A man is accused of hurting his wife over night.

Carlos Zayas ll was arrested. Police say he was driving off in a red hatchback, with its head lamps off, when officers arrived.

It happened at the 4900 block of Old Fountain Blvd.

Police say Zayas ll threatened his wife with a firearm and knife and caused a minor injury with the knife.

He is facing charges of second degree assault, third degree assault, harassment, DUI and eluding a police officer.
