Springs police search for armed robbers

Colorado Springs police are investigating two armed robberies.

The first robbery was reported shortly before 11:00 p.m. Monday. It happened in the 30 block of Claremont Street.

The victim told police he was getting something out of his car when a man with a gun approached him and demanded money. The man gave the man the cash he had and the suspect fled in a silver or gold Cadillac. Police said it appeared to be an early 1990’s model, possibly an Eldorado.

Shortly before midnight, police responded to a robbery call at the Diamond Shamrock on Jet Wing Drive. Police say a man with a gun walked into the store and demanded money. The man fled in a silver or gold colored Cadillac Eldorado.
