Man assaulted in motel room

Colorado Springs police are investigating a stabbing at a hotel on South Nevada Avenue Saturday morning.

Police said the 25-year-old man was in a room with the door open when a man walked in and started stabbing him.

He was stabbed in the chest, abdomen, left hand and the left leg.

The man was taken to the hospital where he underwent surgery and is expected to recover according to police.

Police have no suspects at this time.
