Two sought in Fountain robbery

Fountain Police is searching for two men accused of an armed robbery in Fountain on Thursday night.

It happened around 9 p.m. at the intersection of Fountain Mesa Road and Lake Avenue. Fountain police said two men with guns held up the clerk at Kwik Way Foods and took off on foot.

A spokesman for the Fountain Police Department said no one was hurt in the robbery.

The first suspect is described as a white man, about 6’2″, with a thin build and was wearing a gray, zippered jacket. The second suspect is described as a man with an unknown race, about 5’4″, with a large build. He was carrying a red, black and silver backpack. Both suspects had their faces concealed.

Both suspects showed handguns and at least one of them pointed the gun at the clerk. The men then ran out the back door of the store with an undisclosed amount of cash.
