Springs man arrested for assaulting 71-year-old man

Colorado Springs police arrested Nathaniel Howard, 61, on Saturday night after he got in fight with a 71-year-old man.

Police said they got a call about the fight in the 3100 block of N. Wood Ave.

According to officers, Howard hit the victim several times. The victim was taken to the hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Due to the age of the victim, police said Howard was charged with crimes against an at-risk adult, a third-degree assault.

The felony assault unit with the Colorado Springs Police Department continues to investigate.
