Southbound I-25 Re-Opened At Woodmen

Traffic is flowing once again at I-25 and Woodmen, after an accident clean-up that caused a four hour closure of the interstate.

A big rig crash forced the closure of the Southbound lanes about 6:00 Tuesday evening.

Colorado Springs Police say a thunderstorm with high winds may have contributed to the crash, although that is still being determined.

Those winds also hampered efforts to flip the truck back up onto it’s wheels and out of the lanes of traffic.

Southbound I-25 reopened shortly after 10:00pm.
