Serial liquor store robber arrested

A man accused of robbing two liquor stores, one of them multiple times, is behind bars.

33-year-old Brett Harris is accused of robbing Lake Liquors in the 500 block of S. Union Blvd three times: January 21st, March 13th, and March 30th. Harris is also a suspect in the JW Liquor store in the 300 block of S. Hancock Ave. on January 23rd.

Police took Harris into custody on July 12th after a vehicle pursuit where Harris was arrested for carjacking. Based on video surveillance, police were able to link Harris to the liquor store robberies and charged him while he was in CJC.

Harris faces a charge of Aggravated Robbery for each of the liquor store robberies. Police say he may be involved in additional cases and the investigation is ongoing.
