Library preserves Waldo Canyon Fire

The Pikes Peak Library is collecting photographs and video of the Waldo Canyon fire.

Dennis Daily with the special collections section of the library is asking the public for any images of homes before, during and after the fire.

“We are in a unique position to gather important historical documentation and preserve it for future generations,” said Daily.

The library will take the digital documentation and back it up on different computer servers.

“Our goal is to preserve the history of our community, the history of this region. This sort of documentation will allow future generations to know what we were going through today,” said Daily.
