Police find woman shot in the head

The Colorado Springs Police Department is investigating the shooting of a woman.

She was found just before 2:30 a.m. Saturday with a gunshot wound to the head near the intersection of Boulder and Institute Streets.

Police said she may have been hurt during a shootout that was reported in the 400 block of South Circle Drive.

Police did not have an update on the woman’s condition.
