Man robbed at knifepoint

A robber armed with a knife is on the run in Colorado Springs.

Police say a 59-year-old man was walking home on Saratoga just before midnight Friday when a man asked him for a light. When he reached for his lighter the robber stepped behind him and held a knife to his throat. The robber took the man’s wallet from his back pocket and ran off.

The victim was treated at the scene.

The suspect is described as a black male in his late 20’s to early 30’s, wearing black or dark jeans, a white shirt, and a black baseball hat with an unknown logo on the front. The suspect was approximately 5’09, 170 pounds, possibly some facial hair, and a deep voice.
