Power outage effects more than 2,000 CSUtilities customers

Power outages across the city of Colorado Springs may have caused power outages for more than 2,000 Colorado Springs Utilities customers Sunday evening.

Trouble began in some areas just before 5 p.m.

A website set up to keep customers abreast of power outage situations indicates the company is currently evaluating the problem.

A recent check of that website found about 150 customers still without power late Sunday night.

Areas in that power outage included residents south of Platte Avenue along S. Circle Drive.
