Disaster assistance Church of Christ

A new player in the help army for Waldo Canyon fire survivors. There is a Disaster Assistance, Church of Christ food van sitting and waiting for those who need free meals. It’s off North 30th and Garden of the Gods near the Loaf and Jug.

Mike Baumgartner is the President/CEO of the organization. He told me that he was drove 1800 miles after seeing the fire devastation on television. Baumgartner has been at this location since Wednesday. He expects to be here for about two weeks. He said this kind of work is his calling, “It took the Lord 50 years to find a job that he wanted me to do and now I’ve got it.”
