Springs Police search for sexual assault suspect

Colorado Springs police officers are searching for a sexual assault suspect.

They say they’re looking for 27-year-old Felipe Valadez-Lopez.

Police say they got a call from a woman around 8:20 Tuesday night, who said Valadez-Lopez strangled and threatened her at a home in the 3800 block of Lakehurst Dr. She also told police he had sexually assaulted her.

Police say there were two children, one 6 years old, the other 3 years old, inside the home. Police were told the 6-year-old was assaulted.

Police tell us they are looking for Valadez-Lopez on suspicion of sexual assault, felony menacing and child abuse.
