Mountain Shadows residents no longer allowed to go home

Mountain Shadows residents no longer allowed to go home, even for 30 minutes.

Earlier Tuesday, residents of the subdivision were told they could return home for 30 minutes with a police escort.

North Mountain Shadows and Peregrine: north of Chuck Wagon, west of Centennial to Orchard Valley Road, and northwest of Orchard Valley Road to Woodmen Road are should consider planning for evacuations.

This effects 2,565 homes and 7,090 residents.

We haven’t been told why the residents are no longer allowed into their homes.

There is no need to panic as this is not a mandatory or voluntary evacuation at this time; however residents are advised to take steps to prepare important documents, pets, valuables, evacuation kit, and medications. A complete list of emergency/evacuation tips can be found here.
