Highway 24 Reopens Sunday at 1 p.m. for all traffic but officials are asking people who don’t need to travel the road to stay away.

The roadway opens for residents in the area at 9 a.m. You need proof if residency at the checkpoints.

Officials ask folks traveling Highway 24 to keep an eye out for crews in the area. They are still battling an active fire and we need to keep them safe.

There will be some lane closures along the way for the safety of the firefighters.
