Crash kills 4 from Woodland Park

Four people from Woodland Park were killed in a head-on collision Saturday morning.

The crash happened just after 10 Saturday morning on Wyoming Highway 120.

The deceased are Paul Kekich, age 16, who would have been a junior at Woodland Park High School, Nick Naples, age 17, who would have been a senior at Woodland Park High School, and Alex Ragan, age 17 who would have been a senior. as well. In addition to the students, Scoutmaster Richard Kleiner also died in the accident.

State troopers said a motorhome was traveling north on the highway and a 2003 Honda Element carrying the four from Woodland Park was going south. The initial investigation showed the Element drifted into the northbound lane and hit the motorhome head-on.

A 3 year old child in the motorhome was also pronounced dead at the scene.

State troopers said the people in the Element were part of a Boy Scouts troop from Woodland Park. They were on their way back to Colorado after spending time at Camp Buffalo Bill outside of Cody, Wyoming.
