Woodland Park and Teller Co. Evacuation Lifted

Good News Saturday for Woodland Park and Teller County residents. As of 5pm, the mandatory evacuation has been lifted.

This does not include the citizens who reside in El Paso County specifically areas around Green Mountain Falls and Crystola. Those residences remain on Mandatory Evacuation. A decision about them will be made at 8am on Sunday.

Highway 24 remains closed in Crystola going east bound and the Cave of the Winds going west bound.

Citizens returning to their homes will remain on PRE-EVACUATION STATUS.
All citizens are encouraged and requested to remain on alert as to changes in their surroundings, there is still an active fire burning in the area. Smoke will continue to be visible
