PPIHC Fans Urged To Purchase Tickets In Advance

“We are cautiously optimistic concerning the running of the 90th Pikes Peak International Hill Climb on July 8 after an informative and thorough meeting this morning with Mayor Steve Bach and officials from the City of Colorado Springs. We are in consistent touch with these officials, and monitoring the constantly-developing situation related to the wildfires.”

“We are grateful for the support of the City and for the efforts of the agencies involved in protecting our community from the fire. Our constant thoughts are with the hundreds of men and women who are in the air and on the ground giving us their best, and with our residents and neighbors.”

“In the meantime, our systems for the staging of the race and the ancillary events connected to it are fully operative,” says President & CEO Tom Osborne, Chairman of the Board of the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb.

With advance tickets going at a record pace, organizers of the 2012 Pikes Peak International Hill Climb are expecting what may be a record crowd for the July 8 race, and urging fans to buy their tickets in advance and take advantage of a new round-trip bus ticket to avoid congestion at the toll gate on Race Day.

“Last year, we sold almost 1,000 general admission tickets on Race Day, and the toll gate opens at 4:00 a.m.,” said PPIHC Chairman Tom Osborne. “We want to give fans the best chance to ensure a place on the course by getting their tickets in advance and avoiding long lines at the toll gate.”

General Admission tickets are priced at $40.00, a ten-dollar savings on those tickets if purchased now. (Race Day ($50.00), as well as the Family Four-Pack of general admission tickets ($135.00) or $160.00 on Race Day. VIP tickets are sold out already.

Advance tickets are available now by clicking here.

Round-trip bus tickets with a General Admission ticket are priced at $55.00 in advance only.

The bus transportation begins at the Colorado Springs World Arena parking lot starting at 6:10 a.m., with a return after the race to the same location.

Fans who have already purchased their tickets can still buy a round-trip bus seat on-line for just $20.00. The buses will take fans to the Crystal Reservoir site, just below the start line, and pick them up afterward at the same location beginning at 2:30 p.m.
