Tornado Watch, Severe Thunderstorm Warning For Elbert County

There is a tornado watch in effect for Elbert County and parts of northeast Colorado on Wednesday afternoon until 9 p.m. MDT.

There is also a severe thunderstorm warning for northwestern Elbert County and northeastern Douglas County. The warning for Elbert and Douglas Counties expire at 7:15 p.m.

In northeast Colorado, a tornado watch is in effect for Adams, Arapahoe, Broomfield, Denver, Douglas, Logan, Morgan, Washington, and Weld counties.

The NWS recommends taking shelter in the event these storms intensify or become severe.
