Shooting In Colorado Springs

Colorado Springs police are investigating a shooting.

Police say the call came in a little after 11 p.m. Monday night.

It happened on S. Chelton near Mallard at the Cedarcreek Club Apartments.

Officers tell us a group of people were standing on a stairwell talking when another group came up to them and started an argument.

The argument got physical and someone pulled a gun.

One person was shot and is recovering at the hospital. Police say the wound is not life-threatening.

A second victim, who had been assaulted by the group of suspects, was later located and he was also treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The suspects were described as black males who were all wearing varying clothing. Officers checked the area, but no suspects were located.

Police say it appears the suspects knew the victims, and this does not appear to be a random act of violence.
