Police Say Mother Choked Daughter’s Bully

A mother faces possible child abuse charges after police say she choked a boy who was bullying her daughter.

Police say 46-year-old Debbie Piscitella did what many parents wish they could do – choked the alleged bully of her teenage daughter. It happened at a Florida mall. Debbie was with her 13-year-old daughter Makenna when she pointed out the boy that she says was harrassing her online. Debbie confronted him and then, according to police “grabbed (him) around the neck and choked him leaving marks around his neck.”

Now charged by police for child abuse, Debbie Piscitella can only say this of the incident now: “You try to react a certain way because I’m an adult, emotions were just really high, that’s all I can say.” Debbie says her anger came after days of online taunting from her daughter’s schoolmate.

Online, the story has taken on a life of her own. Some say she went too far but many parents have sided with this vigilante mom.
