Death Investigation Under Way At Air Force Academy

Officials are investigating a death on the base housing on the Air Force Academy.

An Air Force Academy spokeswoman said officials discovered the death at about 5 p.m. Saturday night.

There does not appear to be any foul play, officials said.

The investigation was handed over to the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office. A sheriff’s office official said the death is believed to be a suicide, but they are still conducting a full investigation.

The name of the person who died is not being released.
