Man Threatens People With Machete
A man threatens a group of people with a machete, according to Colorado Springs police.
Police said the ex-girlfriend went to meet Elias Hernandez at the McDonalds on the 2500 block of South Academy Boulevard Friday morning.
When Hernandez arrived, he had a long knife and a machete and threatened two men and a woman who were with the ex-girlfriend, officials said. Police said he threatened to cut them into pieces.
A witness told KRDO Newschannel 13 that the ex-girlfriend was able to calm Hernandez down and he left.
Officials said police arrested Hernandez at his home. No one was hurt.
