1 Arrested, 1 Hurt In Motorcycle Crash

A motorcycle crashed in Colorado Springs leaving one woman seriously hurt, according to police.

Police believe the driver of the motorcycle James Davidson, 64, was driving the motorcycle drunk.

The crash happened at about 11:30 p.m. Saturday night.

Investigators said Davidson was headed north on Union Boulevard and struck a curb as he was turning onto Fillmore Street.

Both Davidson and the woman riding with him were thrown from the motorcycle, officials said.

The woman was taken to a hospital and is expected to recover, police said.

Officers said they arrested Davidson on charges of vehicular assault and DUI.

Members of Colorado Springs Police Department’s Major Accident Unit are investigating the crash.
