Sign Installation Closing I-25 Tonight, US-24 Next Week

The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) sign installation project across Interstate 25 continues for another night, with work on U.S. 24 rescheduled for next week.

Both highways will be closed overnight, as follows:

Thursday: I-25 southbound CLOSED at 10 p.m., just north of the Circle Drive/Lake Avenue interchange. Traffic detours south on Nevada Avenue, east on Lake Avenue and back to I-25. Highway reopens at 5 a.m. Friday.

Monday, June 4, and Tuesday, June 5: U.S. 24 eastbound CLOSED at 10 p.m., just west of Peterson Road. Traffic detours north on State Highway 21 (Powers Boulevard), east on Galley Road, and south on Peterson Road to U.S. 24. Highway reopens at 5 a.m. Tuesday and Wednesday.

CDOT says the new signs are being installed to meet updated standards and guidelines, including slight design changes to improve visibility for drivers.

Updated information regarding traffic impacts on this or other CDOT projects is available at www.coloradodot.info or by calling 511.
