A teenager was arrested in the Springs, suspected of breaking into cars.

Police say a man called around 3 a.m. Tuesday, saying he had caught a girl breaking into his car in the 200 block of University Drive.

Police say during the investigation, they discovered three people in the area trying to break into cars.

The caller had just left his house when he saw the done light on in his car, and saw someone in it.

Police say two people standing near the car took off running.

The caller was able to detain the suspect who was still in the car until officers arrived.
