Man Hit By Train In Security
The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a man was hit by a train in Security.
Investigators tell KRDO NewsChannel 13 that a train engineer saw the body at 12:45 p.m. and stopped his train on the tracks that run along Highway 85. The body was found between Fontaine Boulevard and Main Street. They believe a different train hit the man earlier in the day.
The victim is white and around 40 to 50 years old. It’s not clear if his death was an accident or a suicide. Investigators said his identity wouldn’t be revealed before an autopsy is completed in the next two days.
The death investigation blocked traffic at Fontaine and Security Boulevards for about three hours.
