East Side Water Main Break Fixed

A water main break left approximately 10 homes without water Sunday morning.

We’re told the break happened across the street from Patrick Henry Elementary School, on the east side of Colorado Springs. The homes without water were in the 1300 block of Lehmberg Boulevard.

The problem stemmed from a broken 8-inch water main. A spokesman for Colorado Springs Utilities said the water was restored by noon.

Portions of Galley Road was also closed for much of the day due to the repairs.
