Police Investigate String Of Robberies

Colorado Springs police are investigating a string of robberies on the city’s southeast side Friday night.

Police tell KRDO NewsChannel 13 they believe the same man robbed three different locations between 9 p.m. and 10 p.m. Friday.

Police say the man hit a Diamond Shamrock on North Circle, a Conoco at Fountain and Murray and a Dollar Tree on South Academy near Astrozon.

Police say they are looking for a black man in his 50’s, wearing glasses and a baseball cap. He has an American flag on his t-shirt. Police say the man is armed with a .45 caliber handgun.

Witnesses tell police the man was seen driving a Chevrolet Corsica with a broken side mirror.
