Officials Investigate Death Of Ft. Carson Family Member

A 25 year-old female Fort Carson family member was found dead in an on-post residence Wednesday afternoon.

Her death is being actively investigated by Special Agents from the United States Army Criminal Investigation Command. The cause and manner of her death has not been determined.

According to CID officials, agents do not suspect foul play but have not completely ruled it out. They will wait until a complete and thorough investigation is conducted.

Fort Carson officials want to assure Soldiers, Families and civilians who work and live on Fort Carson that the circumstances surrounding this death do not appear to represent a danger to our community.
