Key Bank Robber Linked To Previous Bank Robbery

After arresting a suspect in Monday’s Key Bank robbery, police have determined he may also be responsible for another armed robbery that happened in April.

28-year-old Matthew Ray was arrested for robbing the Key Bank located in the 1500 block of S. 8th St. During the robbery, investigators were able to recover key evidence that led them to Ray. They obtained a warrant and arrested him on Tuesday.

On Thursday police said they have also determined that Ray is allegedly responsible for the robbery at Vectra Bank in the 7300 block of N. Academy Blvd on April 27th.
