Man Stabbed, Police Make An Arrest

Colorado Springs police say a man was stabbed early Wednesday morning on South Hancock Avenue.

It happened shortly before 1 a.m.

“Upon arrival officers found a 35 year old male with a wound to his abdomen,” said Sgt. Cari Graves of the Colorado Springs Police Department. “He was transported to a local hospital.”

Police tell us the victim said he was slashed by his mom’s boyfriend, 49 year old Oliver Shaw.

After an investigation, police arrested Shaw and charged him with first degree assault.

The victim suffered serious injuries but police say they aren’t believed to be life-threatening.
