School Lockdowns Lifted, Police Catch Suspect

D-11 schools says they have lifted four school lockdowns after police successfully caught two burglary suspects near the schools.

Madison Elementary, Irving Educational Center, Wilson Elementary and Henry Elementary were locked down Monday morning just after 8:15 a.m.

Police said they were looking for two burglary suspects in the area of Wilson Elementary School. Officials said they chased the suspects on foot through backyards and ditches in the neighborhood.

Both suspects were arrested on Osgood Rd near Fetterman Dr, according to a police spokesman. One suspect was arrested after a K-9 unit found him in the rafters of a garage.

According to police both men are wanted on outstanding warrants. They will now face multiple new charges.
