Unmanned Drones Cause Privacy Concerns

Some controversial new weapons in the fight against crime. Unmanned Draganflyer X6 drones are joining local police departments as part of their homeland security profile.

This new tool will be used as a defense against terrorist and other law breakers but some fear they could also be used against law abiders. “Yes they say they are training people, yes they say they are only going to use them when there are terrorist concerns but we know unfortunately from our own history that sometimes fishing expeditions look very inviting to law enforcement,” said Hedy Weinberg of the American Civil Liberties Union.

Police are only supposed to use the drones over controlled targets where they have a perimeter established and the general public is not present. But there are those who ask is this big brother watching.
