Metro State Student Claims She Was Punished For Pumping Breastmilk
A Metro State student says she was punished for leaving class to pump milk for her baby.
Senior Manige Osowski says a professor gave her permission to leave a four hour long class to pump milk. But, at the end of the semester things just didn’t seem right. She was given a lower grade.
She complained to Metro State and got no response.
Now her complaint has prompted the University to create a new policy.
It requires professors to allow nursing mothers to leave class to pump without penalty.
