US 50 Reopened In Avondale After Gas Leak

Highway 50 was closed in Avondale for about 3 hours on Monday afternoon after a truck struck an exposed natural gas line.

The accident happened in the 1200 block of Hwy 50 East, between Wheeler Lane and William Street around 3:00 p.m. There were no evacuations in the area and no one was injured.

Utility companies fixed the break and Hwy 50 reopened around 6:15 p.m.
