Suspicious Mother’s Day Card Found Safe

Authorities examined a suspicious package in the 400 block of E St. Elmo Ave and found it to be safe.

Colorado Springs Police tells us that a woman received a Mother’s Day card from her estranged son who she said is a known bomb maker. She was afraid to open the card and called police.

Bomb squads took an x-ray of the card and found that it was a harmless musical card. Police did a background check on her son and say there is no evidence he’s a bomb maker. As a precaution, CSPD bomb squads, Colorado Springs Fire Department, and paramedics came to the scene. The area around the home was blocked off during the examination.
