Suspects Allegedly Shoot Homeless Man In Legs
Police are looking for suspects after a homeless man was shot in the legs.
It happened around 12:30 a.m. on Monday under the Midland Trail near the intersection of Vermijo and 17th Streets. A homeless man was sleeping under a culvert when he was awakened by two males.
One shined a flashlight in his eyes and the other shot him several times. He suffered non-life-threatening injuries to his legs.
The suspects are described as white males in their teens or early twenties, shorter, with slight builds.
One was wearing a blue shirt and the other a black shirt. Both were wearing black hats backwards.
Police say they have not found any witnesses and are asking that anyone with information about the shooting call police at 444-7000 or Crime Stoppers at 634-STOP.
