Two In Custody After Pueblo Shooting

Two men are in custody after a shooting on the city’s south-side Wednesday night.

Sergeant Eric Bravo of the Pueblo Police Department says the pair was taken in for questioning.

The shooting happened on the 600 block of Floyd Lane about 7:00PM Wednesday night.

Nick Bonham of the Pueblo Chieftain reports that the street where the shooting happened is a quiet dead-end street between the Sunnyheights and Stonemoor Hills neighborhoods.

The victim, a 17-year-old who has not been named by police, was shot in the right forearm while he sat parked. Police say the man’s wound was minor, and he is being treated at Parkview Medical Center.

Investigators tell us the incident was a suspected drug deal and the two men were in the vehicle with the victim when the shooting occurred.

Police recovered a weapon at the scene. It was reportedly sitting on top of the van when officers arrived.
