Bad Crash On Highway 24 West Of Woodland Park
A bad crash on Highway 24 on the west side of Woodland Park injured two people.
Westbound traffic was diverted around the area onto County Road 25 during the accident but all lanes were back open by around 9:00 a.m.
Troopers say the driver of a car driving east fell asleep and crossed the center line.
His car struck a westbound SUV driven by a woman, according to Troopers. That woman was air-lifted with a broken leg. The driver of the car was taken by ambulance to Memorial Hospital with a broken ankle, Troopers say.
There was a second, minor accident that happened because people were not paying attention, Troopers say. There were no injuries in that crash, according to Troopers.
