Severe Thunderstorm Watch Thru 4am

The main storm approaching from New Mexixo may produce strong damaging wind gusts in any stronger thunderstorms into the early morning hours of Friday. Good news is the tornado threat is less than it appeared earlier today. Hail to around 1″ in diameter may occur as well. Storms will be moving in a NNE direction between 40mph and 60mph early Friday morning. Residents in the yellow shaded areas, including La Junta, Las Animas, Lamar, Springfield, Holly and Eads should be aware of the weather situation before heading to bed later tonight. Great night for your weather radio to have batteries in it!

We’ll be tracking the storms into the early morning I’ll keep you ahead of the storm on Newschannel 13, krdo.com and on your mobile apps!
