Over 2 Dozen Sick After Pueblo Health Center Luncheon

Health officials are investigating what sickened more than two dozen people following a luncheon for the Pueblo Community Health Center.

The Pueblo Chieftain reports that of the 80 attendees at the Tuesday event, 27 are sick. The Pueblo City-County Health Department says that those who became ill had gastrointestinal symptoms.

Dr. Chris Nevin-Woods tells The Pueblo Chieftain that it’s too early to tell if the illness was caused by food. “The symptoms are fitting of a number of possibilities, but it could be something other than food,” she said.
