Missing Man Could Be In Southern Colo.

Colorado authorities are looking for a missing person.

Family members tell us that George Gudenrath went missing while he was traveling from Arizona to Denver.

The Bent County Sheriff’s Office was informed that he may be in the area on Wednesday. Gudenrath’s phone pinged south of Law Animas.

The Sheriff’s Office tells us they had three deputies do a ground grid search on Wednesday until 8:30 p.m. No one found a car matching the description of Gudenrath’s. Sheriff David Encinias says that he is confident that if the car were out there it would have been spotted.

Lakewood Police has the case as a missing person investigation. They say there is no evidence or indication of any criminal activity. However, family members tell us they fear foul play. Gudenrath’s son told other family members that when they spoke on the phone, his father said, “We are lost,” but the man was traveling alone.

Michael Beal, Gudenrath’s step son, said that it would be strange for his step father to get so lost on his way to Denver, because he had been there before.
