Commission Finds Lamborn Mailer’s Not A Violation

The Commission on Congressional Mailing Standards, the Franking Commission, dismisses complaint against Congressman Lamborn.

It was filed by 5th Congressional District Candidate Robert Blaha, who said Lamborn’s mailers he’s sending to constituents violates the franking rules because the mailers are campaign material.

The Franking Commission reviewed the complaint and states, “Commission finds there is no substantial reason to believe that any violation of the franking laws and regulations has occurred and respectfully dismisses the complaint.”

Candidate Blaha said he isn’t surprised, “the congressional commission is protecting their own instead of enforcing the rules.” He also told KRDO Newschannel 13, “the real scandal in Washington isn’t what is illegal, it is what is legal.”
