Car, Tractor Accident On Highway 50 Sends 2 To Hospital

A traffic accident on Highway 50 about 5 miles east of Canon City involving a farm tractor and a car sent two people to different hospitals Monday evening.

State Patrol tells us that a farm tractor was rear-ended by a car around 5:00 p.m. The man driving the car was flown to Memorial Hospital in Colorado Springs with serious, but non-life-threatening, injuries. The man driving the tractor was taken by ambulance to St. Thomas More Hospital in Canon City with minor injuries.

All westbound lanes were initially closed; but, as of 6:30 p.m., all lanes had reopened.
