Fremont County Home Up In Flames
A house is up in flames in the 1200 block of Fremont County Rd 3.
The fire started around 3:30 p.m. Friday and was fully engulfed when crews arrived. Fremont County, Deer Mountain, Canon City, and Tallahassee fire departments are all on scene. The U.S. Forest Service is also at the home.
Crews say the fire may pose a wildfire threat. They’re battling the fire defensively to avoid starting a wildfire. They also have hoses set up to stop a wildfire in the area if it were to start.
No injuries have been reported and it is unknown if anyone was inside the home when the fire sparked. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
