One Dead, Two Hurt In Pueblo Shooting

Pueblo police said one man is dead and two others were hurt in a Pueblo shooting late Tuesday night.

The triple shooting happened in the 2300 block De Soto Road, near 24th and Elizabeth.

21-year-old Nicholas Carpenter was found dead at the scene. The two other victims, 33-year-old Benjamin Williams and 29-year-old Joshua Fenderbosch, are being treated at Parkview Hospital. Williams is in critical condition and Fenderbosch is in stable condition.

The suspect, 30-year-old Daniel Baker, has been arrested and booked into Pueblo County jail on the charge of murder.

On Thursday, police say they’ve determined that a female resident, the girlfriend of Fenderbosch, was in the process of moving out with the assistance of Baker. Fenderbosch and Carpenter both live at that home; Williams does not but was present. A fight between Fenderbosch and Baker ensued, and Baker allegedly fired his gun, striking the three men.

Neighbors tell KRDO NewsChannel 13 that they have seen a lot of foot traffic in and out of the home. Some said they suspected drug dealing was going on at the home.
