Workers Suing Employers

More American workers are suing their employers for overtime pay.

USA Today reports lawsuits against employers increased 32-percent from the height of the recession in 2008 to last year.

Some of the workers’ main issues were putting in more than 40-hours a week without overtime pay; being forced to work off the clock; and jobs being misclassified as exempt from overtime requirements.

Another big complaint, smartphones and other technology causing work to interfere with personal time.
