Man Hospitalized After Fire

One person is in the hospital after a fire overnight at the at the Summit Creek Apartments on South Chelton Road.

A security guard called the fire in at around 12:30 a.m. Monday. He said he saw smoke coming from one of the apartments. The tenant got out of the apartment and was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.

Fire officials say the fire was contained to one apartment and the Red Cross won’t be needed.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
